Delivering excellence across our power transmission network means safety without compromise. Because our lines traverse active agricultural, commercial, and residential landscapes, we strictly maintain ground clearance as per CEA guidelines to protect both our infrastructure and local communities.
This is reinforced by proactive Right-of-Way (RoW) management, which establishes legally compliant, zero-encroachment corridors well before construction begins. Backed by regular field surveys and safety awareness campaigns, we actively collaborate with local populations on fair compensation and alternative livelihood solutions to eliminate operational hazards while securing our social license to operate.
Environmental, Airspace, and Ground Security
Our operational responsibility extends to the very ecosystems we traverse. To harmonize infrastructure with nature we install bird diverters across critical flyways and to secure the skies we install aviation marker balls, night-lighting, and high-visibility tower painting for low-flying aircraft. On the ground, public and asset security is maintained by equipping every transmission structure with Anti-Climbing Devices (ACDs) to prevent unauthorized access and shock hazards.
Engineering Rigor and Structural Reliability
Grid resilience is engineered into our network from the ground up through many non-negotiable measures:
Proven Tower Deployment: We exclusively deploy tower designs validated through rigorous physical Type Testing at specialized stations, ensuring the structures can withstand extreme environmental and mechanical stress.
100% Individual Earthing: Every single tower along the alignment is robustly grounded to maintain a low footing resistance. This serves as a critical defense system that safely dissipates direct lightning strikes during severe weather and prevents line tripping.
100% Tower Readiness: Before the high-tension conductor stringing phase begins, each tower undergoes strict inspection to verify that all structural members, nuts and bolts, and hardware fittings are completely installed and torque-tightened.
Danger Plate Commissioning: As a final safety milestone, standardized, high-visibility Danger Plates are securely bolted to each tower. These provide immediate, universal hazard warnings to the public and maintenance crews.
